No matter what Crown Victoria Package this car is, the car is a very sharp looking squad. I think the black grill and black stripe under the trunk lid/tail lights would look even sharper though.

Hey annonymous. You didn't set anything straight. There is a P-71 street appearance package which above car is. Also, as of the last two years, even the civilian P-73 (base) and P-74 (LX) models now have color matched "B" pillars, just like the P-71's. The P-74s mainly come with alloy rims.

If you notice, this car is a two door. RISP used two doors for a while.

Love the photos Phil (hate the occaision that they were taken at) keep them coming. A 1981 LTD in the same blue and white scheme as above, was the first cruiser I ever drove. This was a "freebie" paint job provided by Natick Ford at the time. Most suburbs and towns adopted it and put their own decals on them.

AL and FL changing a tire

That is one of the many semi marked Chevy Tahoe's Alabama put on the road around 2005. Colors range from the blue you see to black, gray, and maroon. All are PPV's and all have hidden lights. They also added some Ford Expeditions, Explorers, and Excursions in their SUV "Study". The added room was welcome to the troopers who were assigned these vehicles, but the sluggish preformance and fuel consumption left a lot to be desired. I suspect they will be phased out with the exception of the "weight crews" who really need the space for the mobile scales.

South Africa

I have never seen any enforcement agency using SHERIFF markings in South Africa, looks more like a collectors car. I have seen a few Fords over there though, possibly imported by private owners. Today you can buy the Australian Ford Fairmont new in SA
